When you purchase a Borrowers Card from our library, the benefits are amazing!!
You will gain access to both the Marigold Library System and The Alberta Library network, otherwise known as TAL, and TAL-Online.
You can borrow books from any of the 34 Marigold-member libraries, from any TAL associated Library (including Calgary or Edmonton), or you can have it sent to Beiseker from anywhere!!
With the card, you have access to Marigolds extensive on-line databases, and can order any periodical article you desire! You can order regular paperbacks, hard cover, large print, books on tape, books on CD, or books in MP3 format.

What is TAL and TAL-Online? |
|
The Alberta Library (TAL) is a province-wide library consortium that works with its members to promote universal, barrier-free access to materials and resources in Albertas diverse libraries. TALs membership includes public, university, college, technical institute and special libraries. Together, these organizations collaborate to promote and facilitate resource sharing, continuing education, and library advocacy. TAL-Online is an easy way to search for books, articles, periodicals, and other materials, and have it transferred to the library of your choice. |

Established in March 1981 under the Libraries Act of Alberta, Marigold Library System is a cooperative network of equal and autonomous libraries offering public library service to 149,525 residents in south-central Alberta through 39 participating municipalities, 34 member libraries, 14 paperback deposits, and a Paperbacks-By-Mail service. |

The databases contain: newspaper and magazine articles, encyclopedias, consumer reports, health information, radio and TV transcripts, maps, French language materials, digitized historical documents and photos, almanacs and dictionaries, recipes and restaurant reviews, and much, much more! |
